Years after its abrupt conclusion, 1 UP Yours is recognized as the greatest gaming
podcast created to date. Its success was largely due to its cast and the bold
chemistry they had with each other. Always witty, always funny, always smart,
always informative, always important, and never ignorable, 1 UP Yours is a
milestone not only for gaming podcasts, but for all podcasts.

1 UP Yours was a production of 1 and Ziff Davis. You can find complete
archives at 1 The show starred Garnett Lee, Shane Bettenhausen, John
Davison, Shawn Elliott, Andrew Pfister, and Bryan Intihar. The musical stings in this
episode were composed by Simon Harrison. The closing songs were by Calexico,
from 98/99 Road Map and Feast of Wire. Contention City is from Carried to Dust.
Hot Rail, Drenched, and Service and Repair are from Hot Rail. Additional music
came from Gran Turismo 4 Original Soundtrack and Chrono Trigger Arranged
Version - The Brink of Time.

Garnett Lee

Garnett Lee was drafted onto 1 as PC editor in 2002 after dabbling for a
time in the video game retail sector. The flagship 1 podcast became 1 UP
Yours in 2006 after an inauspicious beginning in late 2005. Lee quickly became
both a capable host and the butt of many jokes for his peers on the show as they
mused over his age and radical opinions about video games. He left lUPin 2009.

Shane Bettenhausen

Nothing less than a fan favorite in his long time working for Ziff Davis and
1, Shane Bettenhausen appeared on 1 UP Yours as he continued his work
for Electronic Gaming Monthly magazine. He left Ziff Davis and 1 UP in December of
2008. Fans adored his frankness. He was often accused of being a Sony fanboy, a
label that he vehemently denied despite the assured nature of the charges against

John Davison

After an already storied career in video game journalism, John Davison joined Ziff
Davis before the turn of the century. His tenure there saw him serve between
magazines, including Electronic Gaming Monthly and the Official PlayStation
Magazine, and Ziff Davis' web entity for gaming, 1 He founded 1 UP Yours
with Garnett Lee and developed a penchant for predicting trends in the industry.
Davison quit 1UP podcasts in late 2009.

Shawn Elliott

Elliott joined the 1 UP Network early on in its genesis, beginning work at Computer
Gaming World (later Games for Windows Magazine) and Electronic Gaming
Monthly. Initially he was given waste games to review owing to his funny, canny,
and brilliant writing style. He made a name for himself on 1 UP Yours' sister
podcast, GFW Radio, before signing on to 1 UP Yours for a short time. In 2008 he
left Ziff Davis to work for Irrational Games.

Bryan Intihar

Bryan Intihar became an editor for Electronic Gaming Monthly after sporadic work
in the video game industry, including a job in PR. His penchant for sports saw him
become a regular on the Sports Anomaly podcast, and in 2008 he became a
regular on 1 UP Yours, only to leave a few months later. He joined Insomniac
Games as community manager.
